English | Blood Brothers You will have a short quiz on character quotes and key vocabulary from the knowledge organiser followed by a choice of essay questions on Blood Brothers. Make sure you know about social class, Violence, Mrs Johnstone, Mrs Lyons, Mickey, and Eddie |
Ethics | You will be assessed on the topics of drugs, Islam, Crime and Justice. |
French |
A 50-minute assessment covering mostly work studied since the beginning of Y8 (town and holidays) |
Geography | A 40-mark written paper including a combination of short answer knowledge and skills questions (including map and graph skills), alongside longer knowledge and understanding questions. Section A – Key definitions from units covered in Y7-Y9. Section B – Plate tectonics including plate boundaries, earthquakes, and volcanoes. Section C – Global Power, including characteristics of superpowers and potential superpowers |
German | A 50-minute assessment covering mostly work studied since the beginning of Y8 (holidays) Reading, writing, and translation activities including a 40-word piece of writing. |
History | A 50-minute assessment covering work studied since the beginning of Y9 (Causes of WWI and the Experiences of WWI Soldiers). Use the Knowledge Organisers for each topic and your notes in your exercise books. There are 5 sections: 1. 20 multiple choice knowledge questions 2. 10 key word gap fill 3. 10 events to complete a timeline 4. 2 Describe questions 5. 2 Explain why questions |
Maths | A 50-minute assessment covering topics studied since the beginning of Y8. Non calculator. 60 marks |
Science | There are 3 tests, each of length 40 minutes. Topics assessed are: B1a – Cell structure C1a – Atomic structure P1a – Energy: stores and transfers |
Spanish | A 50-minute assessment covering mostly work studied since the beginning of Y8 (town and holidays) Reading, writing, and translation activities including a 40-word piece of writing. |
