The Wiz – Book by William F. Brown, Music and Lyrics by Charlie Smalls from the story "The wonderful Wizard of Oz" by L. Frank Baum

It was a truly wonderful, energetic and enthusiastic performance by a very talented group of Meadowhead students led by our two brilliant drama teachers, Mrs Masson-Wilson and Ms Pollard.  The band was conducted by the musical director, Mr Wolstenholme and the dancers led by Mrs Tym and Mrs Stubbs.  There were also many backstage crew helping out with props, set, makeup and costume but mention must go to Scott Johnson in Y13 for lighting and technical effects, especially in his creation of the atmospheric green Emerald City!

We had lots of positive comments after the show, including "grandad really enjoyed a brilliant effort by all cast - particularly liked the reaction of their friends in the audience - so positive,  lovely atmosphere about the school"  parent

and "I want to say you should all be so proud of how hard you have worked. I don't think many people will realise it's been about 8 months of hard work and dedication, whilst a lot of you got exams round the corner too. You are all amazing"  parent
