Thanks to Meadowhead School’s successful ERASMUS+ “work experience abroad” bid (CEWE), we welcomed the second group of post-16 students from Spain in January 2016.

The students, who were staying in host families, completed 5 days of work experience in local businesses and enjoyed experiencing not only the varied working life in England but also exploring Sheffield, the Peak District and practising their English skills during a theatre visit.

Many thanks go to the local companies, who welcomed and looked after the students so well. The Spanish students were able to experience the teaching at Bradway Primary School, get to look after the animals at Heeley City Farm and get practical at Cathelco Seafresh.

All students had a fantastic time and benefited from this project linguistically as well as culturally and are now excited about welcoming the English students in Spain in March.
