How does Meadowhead help students explore and develop their creative interests?
We are proud of our wide-range of extra-curricular activities that allow students to pursue their creative interests. These include:
- Music lessons run by the Sheffield Music Hub. As well singing lessons, students can take lessons in Keyboard, Piano, Flute, Drums, Guitar, Ukulele, Violin, Cello, Viola, Double Bass, Trumpet, Trombone, Horn, Baritone, Clarinet and Saxophone.
- Participation in the UK Maths Challenge
- Dance Club – students can also choose BTEC Dance from Y10.
- Open Studio in Art and Design and Technology as well as regular opportunities to exhibit work
- Food - Bake Club and Bake Offs
- Drama Club and involvement in Whole School Productions
- Journalism and Writing opportunities with Heron Publications and Active8 and through the Meadowhead Community Learning Trust
- Participation in the Everyone a Writer launch event and creative response activities in English lessons
