Y10 Assessment

The timetable for the Year 10 Mock Exams starting 18th June 2025 is published below, to support you and your child in preparing for these assessments.

Assessment weeks are designed to assist students in preparing for their GCSEs. They are an opportunity for students to practise their revision skills and to show their understanding of the work that they have studied. They are also there to give students a mock experience of what it will feel like when they sit the final GCSEs. Teachers will use the information gathered to assist them in planning future teaching and any subsequent support for students.

  • Morning examinations begin after tutor time at 9:00, with students being escorted to the exam rooms from 8:50.
  • Year 10 will have their morning break 11:00 – 11:15 and their lunch break 12:15 – 12:45 during the examinations, whether they have an examination that day or not.
  • Afternoon examinations begin after 12:45 lunch. Once an afternoon examination is over, students leave the school site.
  • If a student does not have an afternoon examination, they will leave school at the end of period 5 (2:45) as usual.
  • Please note: this is the full mock timetable. Your child will not study all of these subjects. All students will complete the core of English, Maths and Science, plus any subjects that they have opted for that have an examination at this time.
  • For further details of the content being assessed during the mock examinations, please refer to individual subject information.
