Y7 Girls Cricket Northern Final

Last week the girls played in the U13s North of England finals at Rockingham CC. Although the results did not go our way, the girls really did enjoy the event and represented the school superbly. We need to remember that the team is made up of all Y7s and they were playing against teams that were made up of Y8s. Very well done for a brilliant competition!

Last week the girls played in the under 13’s North of England finals at Rockingham CC. They progressed through by finishing runners up in the Sheffield competition. The finals were a competition against 7 different school in total coming from all over the north of England, one came down from past Newcastle!!!

Although the results did not go our way, with the girls narrowly losing all their games, they really did enjoy the event and represented the school superbly. We need to remember that the team is made up of all Y7s and they were playing against teams that were made up of Y8s!

The competition was brilliant, with members of the Yorkshire Diamonds who are the professional team in Yorkshire attending (these are the 2 women in the picture with our team).

There was also a number of bowling and catching machines that the girls were allowed to use.

Very well done girls!
