4-1 victory away to Pontefract

Man of the Match: Marlow -  for scoring 3 important goals and a solid performance

Pontefract competed well but our boys went at them from the start, competed for second balls, kept a good defensive shape and dominated  the majority of the possession in the middle of the park.
Meadowhead started the game brightly and gave the Pontefract keeper and defence no chance of playing out!

Brilliant win for the Phoenix in their first Spring League fixture of the campaign.

They ran away deserved 5-1 winners against Mercia. The game was played in a great spirit by both teams on a very tough surface.

Y11 Boys Football - Clegg Shield

The year 11 boys football team put in an excellent performance  against a very strong Westfield side. 
All the goals came in the first half with some excellent football on display!

A first half hat trick and a neat header was enough to seal the all-important victory for the Y11s.

Full credit to Westfield for a fantastic game of football.

A Y10 Boys league Victory 

The Meadowhead Phoenix’s battled hard in a close game on Wednesday against Silverdale.
In tough conditions, it was Meadowhead who came out overall winners. Some great performances and a lot of character shown to win the game.

Y10/11 Rugby Union

Thursday night had the final Rugby Union boys fixtures of the season with 7 teams across South Yorkshire joining the Y10/11 Meadowhead team. Meadowhead played 5 and won 4 in a real festival of skill & determination played in a fantastic atmosphere. Well done to all the players 🤝 🏉

A Y7/8 girls opportunity is planned for after Easter.
