Y10 Football
It's been a busy start to 2024 for our Y10 footballers! In the last full week of January, they secured their place in the Sheffield Schools Cup FINAL! Meadowhead, in tough conditions, worked hard and got their reward in the end. They beat Westfield 3-2 and full credit goes to Westfield who played very well! Goals were scored by Alonzo ⚽️ Dylan ⚽️ Komi ⚽️.
Player of the match was Komi 🏆, who made a real impact running his socks off and a real threat when he got the ball - well done!

The Y10s then went on to play against West Bridgeford (last year's semi-finalists) in the last 32 of the National Cup. In an outstanding performance, they won 4-0, taking our team through to round 7. Player of the match: Harry H, who scored 3 goals in the last 5 minutes of the game!
The success continued on Wednesday 31st January, with the Y10s beating Wales High School (from Rotherham) 3-1 to book their place in the last 8 teams of the National Cup. With over 600 schools entering, this is some achievement and one that every player involved must be proud of!

Player of the match: Oliver W - what a solid display once again. Reading the game, making the right decisions and doing a great job for the back 3 and 4.
