The first column.

Year 8

U13 boys tennis

The Y8 students were unlucky in their 1-5 loss to High Storrs. The attitude amongst all 4 players was terrific. A lot of the games lost were on tie breaks so on another day could have been better.

Well done to all involved.

On Thursday night, the Y8s were busy at the school's athletics competition. All students who came forward to get involved did a great job. We had some excellent results in both the track and field events. We had over 9 students finish in the top 3 of their races! A big well done to everyone involved.

The second column.

Year 10

U15 boys tennis

The tennis team continued their 100% winning run in the tennis leagues this season with another convincing 5-1 win over High Storrs. Congratulations to Tom EW, Jack S, Harry M and Ben R.

And our news catch-up, with some fantastic achievements:

Big congratulations to Molly in Y10 who has been selected to play for Yorkshire and is also been named captain. A fantastic achievement and we wish her the best for this season. Here she is in a recent match batting.

We got great news from the South Yorkshire athletics competition on Saturday 11th June with these sisters (one in Y7 and one in Y10) both getting Silver in the 800m! Massive congratulations to both of them.

A great day on Wednesday 8th June at Y7 athletics. Some brilliant performances by out students.

Big congratulations to Lucian in Y10 for being selected to represent Yorkshire in Rugby Union, a fantastic achievement for him!  Pictured below, he is scoring his first try for Yorkshire - and a fantastic one to get off the mark with!
