Get involved in National Thank A Teacher Day!
Do you have a STAR teacher? Do you miss seeing them every day? This Thank A Teacher Day let’s take the opportunity to say thank you to all our amazing teachers and support staff, who are doing a star job each and every day. Send us your messages and selfies now!
May 20th is National Thank A Teacher Day. It will mark a moment when we, as a nation, can come together to say thank you to teachers across the country who are making a difference not only now during these unprecedented times, but every day of the year.
At Meadowhead we would like to help celebrate by inviting students and parents to send us your message of thanks to a particular teacher/s and/or a member of our brilliant support staff who should also be recognised on this important day.
To take part, please do one of the following before next Wednesday 20th May:
Write a message of thanks to the person you would like to thank, including their name and the reason you want to thank them. Then, either:
Take a selfie of you holding up your message of thanks and email your photo to the relevant year team email address (make sure the writing is big enough to read - templates at the bottom of this page if you want to use one)
email the message on it's own to the relevant year team email address (don't forget to include your name and the name of the staff you are thanking)
Year team email addresses: https://www.meadowhead.sheffield.sch.uk/page/?title=Remote+Learning&pid=7
We will then share all the Thank You messages with staff on our website, staff bulletin and social media before half term.
You can also send your teacher a free e-card; (click the above image)
children, students, parents, grandparents and colleagues can all say thank you to a teacher, teaching assistant, headteacher or team.
In addition, you can also share your message on social media yourself - details here:
The Teaching Awards Trust are asking as many people as possible to share their message of thanks!
