We created this news page to keep you updated with all of the positive news stories and share some of the fantastic work and activities our students and their families have been involved in during the time school was only open to the children of keyworkers, due to the Coronavirus pandemic (March - July 2020)

The January/February lockdown is a little different as we are now delivering live lessons to students at home, following their normal school timetable.  There is still however many activities that the students are getting involved in and we are pleased to be able to share some here.

    R3 and R4 Awards

    So many of our students are doing great work all the time and we like to acknowledge this with our reward system - R1s and R2s are issued by teachers via Class Charts.  For extra special effort and achievement students are awarded an R3 or R4.

    A fantastic obstacle course challenge from Lucy - well done for completing one of the PE challenges and an R2 is being awarded for this.

    Meadowhead to Madrid ....... a race between staff and students

    The PE department have set a fitness challenge!  We were due to take over 100 students to Madrid for a football trip this year - due to the coronavirus this has sadly not gone ahead, but instead we are having a race between staff and students to get there first!

    A Creative (and tasty) Response to A Midsummer Night’s Dream

    This week's 'get ahead' work for Y7 English was to watch the Animated Tales version of A Midsummer Night's Dream and complete a creative response to the play - Amy Roberts chose to bake and decorate these wonderful biscuits. Very well done Amy!

    Wartime Scones, Bunting and Stories from VE Day 8th May 2020
