  • STEM Trips Summer 2017

    We have had four successful STEM trips this summer term which included exploring technology with prosthetics, using engineering skills to tackle numerous disaster scenarios, speed networking with some women in STEM and cuddling a robotic therapy toy seal being developed for Alzheimer patients.
     
  • STEM Roadshow

    Our Y7 and Y8 students were treated to an inspiring assembly on 27th February as the STEM roadshow team demonstrated (with help from the students) their impressive drone and robot technology.

  • Full Steam Ahead to York for Future Engineers!

    On the 21st October 2016 a group of 11 aspiring engineers from Year 8 headed off to the National Railway Museum in York to take part in a regional project aimed at promoting engineering as a career.

  • Faraday Challenge 2016

    On 23rd June, Mr O'Brien and Miss Roberts took a group of Y7 students to Sheffield Hallam University for the Faraday challenge (STEM challenge with lots of coding on the BBC Micro bits) and one of our teams were the winners!
