A busy start to the New Year, with tremendous effort and a positive attitude on show from everyone!

Meadowhead Scholarship Football Academy (Boys)
FLexi League
Meadowhead 4–1 SWFCC

A dominant display from the lads today as Meadowhead put on a show. A bit of Millar magic opened the scoring. Not long after that our goal scoring defender O.Wilson added another just before half time. SWFCC got one back just after the break but normal service resumed when K.Koko got himself on the scoresheet. Finally to put it out of reach and make it a convincing win for the Meadowhead lads J.Millar got his brace and made it 4.

Clinical. Relentless. Quality all over the pitch.

J. Spiers – Brilliant first-half performance. A constant menace down the right hand side and some deliveries into the box even a postman would be proud of.

Y7 Boys Football - 27th January

Not the result the Y7 boys wanted, losing 4-2 to Tapton School, but they showed great commitment and graft. Missing 6 players due to injury and illness, it would have been easy to throw the towel in, they didn’t.

Credit to the resilience and the bond this team has.

MOM: Leo M - A solid display

Senior Sports Team Leaders

Meet our incredible student leaders – they will be in lessons, after-school clubs and on the yard at break times.

At the beginning of February, they will be running INTER-HOUSE WEEKS when students can compete in (students just need to turn up to the after-school clubs and compete for their house)

Y7 Boys Football

A well executed performance from the Y7 boys’ football team - After falling 3–1 behind in the opening 15 minutes, the boys found their rhythm and showed real quality during the middle period of the game. At one stage, the goals were coming freely, as we turned the match around to secure a convincing 9–4 victory.

It was an excellent collective effort from everyone on the pitch, but a special mention goes to Fin K, who delivered a clear Man of the Match performance. Outstanding both in and out of possession, he capped off a superb display with four goals.

Y8 Netball vs Newfield

An excellent win against Newfield and a truly brilliant performance from the whole team.
The girls showed great teamwork, determination, and skill throughout the match — a real team effort from start to finish.

🌟 Girl of the Game: M.Bean — outstanding performance, well deserved!

So proud of every player today. Well done everyone — you should all be incredibly proud.

Y10 Boys Football

After a scrappy first half in their first game back together, the Phoenix were 0-0 at half-time.

However, in the second half, the Phoenix got the ball down and played some good football. They were rewarded with a 2-goal lead after great strikes from O. Mansfield and Dadrian.

Tapton got a late consolation to make it 2-1 to the Phoenix boys team.

POTM - Dadrian and Kingsley

Dadrian held the ball up well all game and picked up a goal and an assist.
Kingsley was aggressive in his defending throughout the game and drove us forward effectively as well.
