At Meadowhead, our Maths curriculum aims to build students’ problem-solving skills. Before the summer, Y9 students were given one of four percentages problems.

They were asked to work in pairs to discuss how to approach the problem and write a method for their solution. It was a great chance for students to see how others approached the question and how different methods still lead to correct answers. Students were then asked to present their method in front of the class, which they did with confidence.

Through team work and resilience from the class, each problem was solved successfully!
