Supporting Students with Medical Conditions
Statement of Intent
Meadowhead School wishes to ensure that pupils with medical conditions receive appropriate care and support at school.
This policy meets the requirements under Section 100 of the Children and Families Act 2014 updated August 2017, which places a duty on trustee boards to make arrangements for supporting pupils at their school with medical conditions. It is also based on the Department for Education (DfE)’s statutory guidance on supporting pupils with medical conditions at school.
This policy also complies with our funding agreement and articles of association. Ofsted places a clear emphasis on meeting the needs of pupils with SEN and Disabilities and this includes children with medical conditions.
Meadowhead School strives to provide an outstanding education for all 11- to 18-year-olds, ensuring that students aspire and are challenged to achieve academic success whilst supporting and developing individuals to prepare for the future. We are committed to ensuring students with medical needs have the same right of access as other children.
