The Meadowhead Women’s Scholars made the perfect start to their season at the beginning of September with an excellent 3–0 victory away at KW2 Academy in their first ever game together.
From the first whistle, Meadowhead impressed with their energy, organisation, and quality all over the pitch. The squad worked tirelessly for each other, showing real promise as a new team and producing a strong collective performance with several standout displays.
The breakthrough came through Annie, who calmly slotted home to give Meadowhead a deserved lead. Soon after, Evie doubled the advantage with a sharp finish after a well-worked move. Annie then capped off a superb team performance by adding her second of the game late on in the first half, securing the win and her brace.
Defensively, the team looked composed and resilient, dealing with KW2’s attacks with confidence. The midfield controlled the tempo throughout, linking play effectively and ensuring Meadowhead stayed in charge of proceedings from start to finish.
