Everyone a Writer 2025
Our annual Everyone A Writer launch event took place on Thursday 10th July 2025. This year’s theme was “Time”.
Students’ poetry and artwork on this theme was shared, with students from Meadowhead and the primary schools reading their work aloud in front of an audience of proud parents and friends. Prizes were awarded in school year group categories, with a winner and two highly commended in each.
We also enjoyed the lively rap and audience participation from this year's guest poet, Spoz - an award winning performance poet (read more about him here). A copy of the published anthology was available for invited students to take home on the evening, and you can read the digital version below (or open the pdf at the foot of this page).
We also ran two reward sessions during the day - for invited Y7 and Y8 students to work with Spoz on understanding rhyme, rhythm and rap and then performed their own impromptu poetry to their peers.
