Maths at KS3

Year 7 Mathematics

In Year 7 students are set from September based on their Primary School Performance.

Students are then reset after October half-term based on a combination of Key Stage 2 results and the results of an inhouse test taken in September.

Students have a further three testing periods during Year 7, in February, April and finally at the end of the year. This allows students the opportunity to move groups several times a year.

We have 4 sets in year 7:

Set 3 follow the Core course, focusing mainly on level 4 and 5 work.
Set 4 follow the support course, focusing mainly on level 3 and 4 work.
