The following topics are taught:

Students in Year 7 and Year 8 receive one hour a week of History.

Y7 – Anglo Saxon Britain/History skills. 1066 and Medieval Britain.

Y8 – Tudor and Stuart England. The Transatlantic Slave Trade.

How will students be assessed?

There are regular mini assessments throughout the year that will aim to develop the skills required for a GCSE exam, these skills range from source analysis and interpretation, an in-depth understanding of Historical context, essay writing and the assessing of events and individuals.
