SALARY: Grade 6 (SCP 21 – 26) £25,801 - £29,636 (pro rata)
Hours: 37 hours per week
(8.00am to 4.00pm Monday – Thursdays, 8.00am – 3.30pm on Fridays)
40 weeks per year (school term time and training days, plus one week).
We are seeking to appoint from September 2021, a highly motivated individual who is interested in joining our Student Engagement and Welfare team.
This is an exciting opportunity to bring fresh ideas to motivate and support student engagement.
Working with members of the teaching and pastoral teams the successful candidate will have responsibility for responding to incidents of student disruption. This will include supporting students to modify their behaviour and providing alternative arrangements in line with school policy.
We are looking for someone who:
- can support a positive climate for learning and good daily routines;
- has a proven track record of supporting disaffected and disengaged students:
- is able to build and sustain positive relationships with students, and staff;
- can inspire and challenge young people;
This is an important post within our support staff structure which will require a high profile status amongst our students and demand strong behaviour management skills.
