Journalistic Challenge 'Press Conference'

Much excitement surrounded Meadowhead's very own 'press conference' on 7th December as our Y7s were joined by pupils from Bradway and Woodseats primary schools at our Journalistic Challenge workshop.

Much excitement surrounded Meadowhead's very own VIP 'press conference' on Thursday 7th December as our Y7s were joined by pupils from Bradway and Woodseats primary schools at our Journalistic Challenge workshop. We welcomed SUFC players Kieron Freeman and Caolan Lavery who gave honest and interesting answers to a range of questions from our budding journalists. These included 'Your least favourite subject at school?' 'What career would you have gone into if you weren’t a footballer?' and 'How much veg do you eat a week?'

Following the interviews, students were able to chat with the players and get their autographs. The final part of this project is for the students to watch the match at Bramall Lane on Friday night (8th December), taking along their notepads to then write their match reports.

We would like to thank Sheffield United F.C. Foundation, Kieron and Caolan for being so generous with their time, and to the Meadowhead Community Learning Trust for funding the project.
