y9 girls rounders team photo

A fantastic first win of the rounders season for the year 9 girls. An impressive fielding performance in the first innings, with no ‘panic’ fielding to be seen!

The girls limited Tapton’s score to 3 rounders. What followed was a brilliant team batting performance, with some outstanding individual performances; Lola scoring 2, Ava 2 1/2 and a phenomenal 5 rounders for Fliss off 6 balls!

Well done girls!
Final score Meadowhead PE 13 1/2 v Tapton 10 1/2

student with ice skating medal

Congratulations Evony (Y8) who competed in the London Lee Valley Ice Skating Competition during the Easter holidays, placing 3rd.

Seth (Y10)  played for the Second XI at Eden Grove Parklands in Doncaster this half term. He managed to score 151* from 112 deliveries. In the process he broke a host of records at the club. Seth has the highest Second XI score beating Pete Holes’ 143 against Tickhill.
The highest score on a Saturday by a non-overseas pro. The 4th highest overall for the club. He has become the youngest Norton Oakes player to make a 100, beating Iwan Hutchings’ record by 10 months. By extension it is the highest score ever made by a junior for the club.

It's the payoff for a lot of hard work. He also scored a blistering 85 off 33 balls to lodge the 5th highest score ever made in the Sheffield junior league.
