  • Pop Maths Quiz 2017

    On 4th March, 12 dedicated students from Meadowhead took part in the annual Pop Maths Quiz hosted by Sheffield Hallam University. We have been taking part in this event for well over ten years and our fantastic students always enjoy the considerable challenges provided by the Maths Education department at Hallam University!

  • UKMC 2016

    Each year we enter high attaining maths pupils from years 7 – 11 in for the UKMC (UK Mathematics Challenges). The standard of our students this year has been amazing - well done to all who have taken part!


  • Y10 Maths University Event

    On Friday the 24th June Miss Roberts took 12 high attaining Y10 maths students to the University of Sheffield for a variety of mathematical talks. 

  • Maths Inspiration Trip

    On Tuesday the 10th November 2015 a group of Y11s went to the Crucible Theatre to listen to several inspirational talks about different aspects of Maths including one from Motorbike Legend Guy Martin.

  • UKMC Intermediate Challenge

    Some top set pupils from Y9 and Y10 took part in the Intermediate UK Maths challenge in February. Pupils from all over the country enter and some of our pupils achieved a Silver award or a Bronze award

  • UKMC Challenges 2014-15

  • Student Investor Challenge

    14 teams of Year 9/10 students are taking part in the annual Student Investor Challenge competition. Investing a virtual £100,000 in stocks and shares aiming to make the largest profit and a first prize of an all-expenses paid trip to New York....
