Meadowhead SchoolAcademy Trust

University

Most of our students choose to follow a university course at the conclusion of their A Levels. At Meadowhead, we provide all the support and guidance needed to be successful in the UCAS application process.

We work closely with our partners at the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University to ensure students receive the latest advice.

We hold an information evening at the end of Year 12 to ensure students and their families are fully aware of the process and can begin considering their options over the summer break.

Deadlines for medical and veterinary courses, as well as those at Oxford and Cambridge, are in the October of Y13. We work closely with Emmanuel College, Cambridge for students considering Oxbridge applications.

 Post 18 information evening

For other applications, we encourage students to submit towards the beginning of November. The final deadline is usually the second week in January.

How do I apply to University through UCAS?

You need to register and set up an online account. Click on Apply on the UCAS homepage or go to http://www.ucas.com/students/apply/. If you apply after your course application deadline you are not guaranteed to be considered by the universities or colleges. You can contact the universities and colleges direct to check if they will consider you before submitting your application.
