Each year we have around 30 Y10 students who volunteer to be a Reading Mentor, partnered with a Y7 student.  They meet together in the library during one form time each week to develop the younger students' confidence in reading, whilst also giving our Y10s valuable experience and building relationships between year groups. 

The Y10s begin the programme in September with some training, and we ended the year with a small celebration in the library with sweet treats to recognise their commitment and to say well done to everyone.
