Feeder Schools

Meadowhead currently has seven feeder schools (Abbey Lane, Bradway, Greenhill, Lowedges, Lower Meadow, Norton Free, Woodseats) but one of the benefits of our large size is that students from other primaries in Sheffield and North Derbyshire are able to join the school as a direct result of parental preference. Further details about how places are allocated if we are over-subscribed can be found in the school’s admissions policy here.

Applications – Sheffield

If you live in Sheffield and want to apply for a place at Meadowhead School, you can apply through Sheffield City Council's application process. In Sheffield, the deadline for online applications for 2024 was 13 October 2023, and for paper form applications 31 October 2023.  Further details are available at www.sheffield.gov.uk/schools-childcare/apply-school-place

Applications – Derbyshire and other councils

If you live in Derbyshire and want to apply to Meadowhead, you should apply through the Derbyshire County Council’s process of which there is more information here:

www.derbyshire.gov.uk/education/schools/school-places/apply-for-a-school-place.aspx

Students currently resident in other councils at the moment should also apply with the council of their current location.

Derbyshire County Council has this helpful webpage that explains the process:
